MacKay Sposito is seeking a full time Civil EIT Engineer (I) to join our Land Development team.  As the Civil EIT Engineer (I), you’ll be responsible for performing and resolving technical and complex civil engineering tasks and problems within established guidelines and applying generally known and accepted engineering standards. Perform assignments to develop professional work knowledge and abilities. Provide information to the clients, general public, city or county employees, and other agencies, peers and managers routinely. Demonstrate brand personality throughout delivery of services.

Preferred project experience includes the preparation of land development designs for site plans, subdivisions, preliminary plats, planning, exhibits, utilities, and road frontage improvements.

 
Keys to Success:
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, manage projects, and execute basic engineering activities reliably
  •  Ability to maintain composure while under pressure and remain flexible despite interruptions or changes
  • Proficiency in the following key areas:  principles and practices of street, water and sewer system design; material and quantity takeoffs, terminology, methods, practices and techniques used in technical civil engineering report preparation; word processing, spreadsheet, engineering and email software; and higher math as applied in engineering work

 Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent design work experience with major coursework in civil engineering, public works, or a related engineering discipline
  • Engineer in Training Certificate required
  • Computer Aided Drafting experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D with three years of work experience
  • Experience with land development, specifically in transportation and utility, and experience with residential is preferred
  • Experience with public works a plus
  • Must be able to walk, lift, carry, stoop, bend, twist and work in the outdoors on uneven surfaces routinely (no more than 20 pounds)
  • Current driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles may be required
